Gary Mauer, the safety expert of the American Window Cleaner magazine, has a keen interest in both safety and networking forums. He defines many of the commonly used window cleaning terms such as rope access, high-rise training, and others. Mauer took those terms off a 15-year-old window cleaning site.
Scratched glass caused by fabricating debris is an issue that has plagued window cleaners everywhere. Disagreements arise, tensions flare, and lawsuits are made in the pursuit of who is to blame for the scratched glass. However, according to AWC contributor Bob Lawrence, a new issue has arisen: low emissivity coatings.
