AWC Magazine – Issue 149
ISSUE TEASER:
The IWCA received a complete makeover for all its future conventions. Originally an annual full-blown trade show, the association has decided to take it in a different direction and transform it into a table-top format. Manufacturers are now delegated to 30-foot x 6-foot tables upon which to show their wares and literature instead of having their usual spacious booths and loads of equipment.
In every state but Hawaii, the record-low temperature is well below freezing. AWC contributor Gary Mauer advises the use of antifreeze for all the other states, however, he warns of the dangers it could cause. Mauer touches upon the high flammability of antifreeze, how to store the substance, and conservation methods when mixing your solutions.
Is it possible to battle high vehicle costs with tax write-offs? AWC contributor Mark E. Battersby said yes and explains how. He reiterates that all that is required in order to claim a tax deduction for the business use of a car, truck, or van are “ordinary and necessary” costs related to legitimate business use. Battersby goes into further detail and touches upon the different aspects and situations.
