This kit comes with 40 steel spikes and 40 washers. Three types of steel spikes can be swapped out depending on the job type at hand, as they provide different kinds of traction for different kinds of surfaces. The spikes thread into the bottom of the overshoes. The washers are to be placed between them for durability and added support.
The regular 3mm spikes are ideal for use on shake roofs, wood surfaces, and ice. They feature shallow penetration steel spikes.
If you need something with more of a point, take the sharp 5mm spikes to your overshoes. These provide added traction for tear-off roofs, wood surfaces, and ice.
If you’re working with concrete or epoxy, the long 7mm spikes are perfect for eliminating footprints. These also provide added traction for shake roofs, wood surfaces, and ice.
