AWC Magazine – Issue 97
ISSUE TEASER:
Residential window cleaner and one-man show John Orsini is interviewed by publisher Rich Fabry in this issue of the American Window Cleaner magazine. Orsini found his calling at age 49 and Fabry questions him about what inspired him to become a window cleaner, what add-on services he offers, and why he stayed a one-person operation.
Crystal Palace Window Cleaning’s Bill Eaton shares what worked and didn’t work for his business. Eaton covers how he retains loyal customers, how to gain new customers, and some tools he can’t live without. Mr. Window & Co.’s Garry Jalowka emphasizes the importance of slip and fall safety. Jalowka recommends proper footwear.
The Glass Association of North America (GANA) produced a bulletin that warns builders about fabricating debris. However, Window Cleaning Network’s Gary Mauer notes there is one problem: the bulletin doesn’t say that fabricating debris can be avoided by temperers. Mauer gives a passionate plea urging GANA to promote the facts about quality tempered glass.
