AWC Magazine – Issue 237
ISSUE TEASER:
AWC Magazine starts off the new year with some riveting musings of window cleaners all throughout the globe.
Why would a window cleaning firm want to partner with another company, you might wonder? Well, Matt Johnson of Blue Sky WC, INC of St. Louis, Missouri says that subcontracting is essentially partnering up with another firm that needs your service but doesn’t have the means to do it themselves. Generally, janitorial or property management companies may not have the skills, equipment, or know-how on going about a window cleaning job. The advantages lie mainly with commercial work, so if that sounds like you, spreading your skillset to another company may be worth looking into.
Jim DuBois provides 5 simple strategies to double profits and revenue in the new year. Going by his 5% rule, or increasing just one of these strategies by 5%, he believes you’ll add significant improvements to your revenue. His five strategies include increasing the number of leads coming in, lead-to-job conversion percentage, upping the average sales value, transactional frequency, and profit margins.
Gabe Gutierrez says that good employees stay where they are appreciated. He believes that letting your company’s actions show that you view employees as human beings, and not just as means to profit, will make them want to stay.
